ABOUT US
Gawley’s Performance Centre is a strength and conditioning studio that offers private and semi-private training. Hours of operation are by appointment only. Andrew and Lisa have been in the fitness industry for 10 years. They met each other in the gym and have spent the majority of their time there since.

Andrew
My name is Andrew. I’ve been in the fitness industry for almost twenty years, or another way of putting it, since before I had grey hair. If you are reading this, that must mean you are interested in getting started or continuing a fitness journey, either that or you are bored and somehow found this over everything else on the internet, either way thanks for checking me out. Let me tell you a little about myself.
I have a beautiful wife and two young kids. I’m a dance dad, a coach, and of course a chauffeur, I also spend some time in spandex, but you will have to come train to hear more about that. I love coffee, concerts, cookies, and camping. Generally, I wear sweatpants and crocs everywhere other than church.
Still reading after the crocs? All right this relationship might work out.
Lifting weights can change your life, and I like lifting weights, so in a roundabout way, I might change your life. Kind of, unfortunately you are the one who is going to have to pick up the weights, my sincerest apologies.
I enjoy most kinds of strength training, weightlifting (the Olympic sport), barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, calisthenics, I even used to do CrossFit, but I don’t want to do burpees anymore, and I don’t think you should have to either, unless you really want to, it’s your life.
It doesn’t really matter what I like though, what matters is what you will do. There is no best exercise or exercise program, other than the one you will do and stick with. The goal is to get you in the gym and find something you enjoy or at least don’t hate, so you can keep moving and doing the things you love outside the gym, for as long as God allows.
So, if you have an interest in lifting weights, getting stronger, telling me about menopause, (my superpower is listening) and maybe eating a little differently over time, yes nutrition is kind of important, I’d love to hear from you.

Lisa
I originally went to school for Fine Arts. While I was there I ended up working at a gym at the front desk, and then pursued my interest in personal training and haven’t looked back since. Through the years I have met many incredible trainers who I have learned so much from, and I have taken many courses to expand my knowledge and experience as a trainer. I have trained for CrossFit for many years, and recently gave birth to a daughter who keeps me busy every day. I want to be strong and fit for her, so I can keep up with her and also be a good role model. I believe that a healthy lifestyle is so important and I love helping others reach their fitness goals.

OUR TESTIMONIALS
WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY ABOUT US
What impresses me about Andrew as a trainer is his combination of enthusiasm for helping me meet my goals, his knowledge of how to get there, and his easy-going interpersonal style. He is also flexible in working around any injuries or issues I have, all while being relentless in working towards my goals. I have a lot of fun working with Andrew and this is important to me because as a working mom, my workout time is also my play time.
As a personal trainer and fitness professional myself I have high standards on who I want to invest in as a coach. After speaking with Andrew and understanding his extensive experience with coaching other athletes to not only compete but compete successfully for several athletes I decided to try him out.
After meeting him in person it was very obvious to me that he was professional, process oriented and caring. These are three qualities I hold to a high standard as a coach myself and I knew he would be an amazing coach for me.
As a remote athlete Andrew does a great job at keeping my programming up to date based on my needs, I record my main lifts and using technology andrew provides feedback for filmed lifts. When I have the opportunity for 1:1 sessions the focus is always on areas of opportunity to continue to develop my skills. His feedback is always clear, direct and has a side of humour.
Although I can often be an impatient athlete with myself Andrew’s coaching reminds me to be patient and trust the process for the outcome I desire in the long term. Having a coach who cares and who has such a strong moral compass is truly a gi
